Fran Camino

Fran Camino is a Venezuelan, mid-career sculptor and an accredited fine art restorer of modern and contemporary artwork from world-famous maestros such as Carlos Cruz-Diez, Jesus Rafael Soto and Rafael Barrios, among others. Since 2014 he collaborates for the “Artefacto Internacional” art magazine in the “Art of Restoration” section. He has participated in several national and international art fairs and exhibitions in his hometown of Caracas, Venezuela, as well as in Italy, Panama, Switzerland and the United States. Nestlé’s headquarters in Switzerland selected Camino as the Latin-American artist to represent the “Strategic Virtuous Circle” award in 2016.

Camino’s art is mostly linked to Pop-Art given the way in which it playfully depicts and magnifies culturally significant objects, such as the serpentine streamer, which is the name of his latest series of sculptures. The main media of his extraordinarily well-executed work is painted iron. The artist’s artwork can be found in both residential and commercial spaces alike. Liz Contag Art exclusively represents Camino in the Pacific Northwest. Liz Contagin conjunction and under the strict guidance of the artist, can work closely with local architects and developers for Camino’s large-scale installations or commissions.
